Port Lavaca Police Department is investigating a situation at HJM Elementary where a driver made contact with a fence and the corner of the building. There were no children in the playground area at the time of the incident, and everyone is safe, accounted for, and without injury. A lockdown was called, as precaution, and later lifted for the school day to resume as normal.
